Problem With Master and Slave
Problem reported by WAYlog srl - April 7, 2014 at 10:21 AM
Not A Problem

I have a Master and Slave DNS Server with Simple DNS last version
The configuration is the following:
Master DNS is configured on Windows 2008 servers with private IP, NAT Public IP and open port 53 in and out.
Slave DNS is configured in the DMZ with Public IP

If I create a zone on the Master, is not created on the SLAVE
If I create a Zone on the Master, create a secondary zone on the slave, the synchronization is working properly.

How can we solve the problem?

When you create a new zone on the master, it will send a NOTIFY request to the slave server informing it that the zone list has been updated. This NOTIFY request is sent via UDP to port 53 (make sure that both UDP and TCP port 53 are open).

Check the log on both the master and the slave to make sure this request is sent and received.
