2048 DKIM Text Records
Problem reported by Antony - April 2, 2014 at 2:58 AM
Not A Problem
I am wanting to use a 2048bit DKIM key.  Following the instructions at http://support.simpledns.com/kb/a62/configuring-dns-records-for-domainkeys-dkim.aspx I have created the entry.
However, when the key is requested it is being truncated resulting in the DKIM check failing.
By testing it appears that Simple DNS plus 5.2 can only return keys with a maximum length of 1024b.
How can I get a 2048b key to work?

First, make sure that you are running Simple DNS Plus v. 5.2 build 122 or later.
This makes it much easier to enter long TXT-record data strings.
You can download the latest build from http://www.simpledns.com/download.aspx
Technically TXT-records data strings cannot be more than 255 characters each, and in earlier versions / builds you have to manually split longer strings.
However with v. 5.2 build 122 and later, you can enter it as one long string, and it automatically splits it for you behind the scenes.
I hope this helps.
